Acle Recreation Centre

The Acle Recreation Centre is a registered charity and is administered primarily by a committee of elected volunteers, although the centre does employ permanent staff who run the centre on a daily basis. It serves the community of Acle and surrounding villages.

The Centre was opened in 1977 and has been expanded over the years, adding a 6 rink indoor bowls complex in 1993, and an extension in 2001 with two function rooms, which are used for a wide range of activities including meetings, parties and conferences, as well as for youth groups. It has full broadband facilities and caters for the disabled.

The club further expanded its sporting facilities in 2006 with the addition of an all weather 6 –a- side football pitch. This all weather pitch is floodlit and complies to FA standards. Changing and shower facilities are available.

The Centre consists of the Social Club, Indoor Bowls. Main Function Hall, the two function rooms in the extension, and various sporting pitches and grounds. It has a large, free car park.
